I started gymnastics and trampolining with the club when I was really little and enjoyed every second. I redicovered my passion for trampolining around the age of 12, as I had just started at Secondary school and my Mum felt it would help build up my confidence, which it did. I have continued to be a member of the club ever since and was offered the opportunity to take my Coaching qualification when I was 17. The club has helped build up my confidence both as a class member and a coach, and has given me the opportunity to be involved with competitions and continue doing what I love, coaching.

To this day I’ve always looked forward to my weekly lessons. It’s a great way to keep fit and so much fun to do.  It builds confidence and provides essential skills for many other sports. It’s a great sport for any person, of any age, and of any ability.

The most rewarding thing for me about my work is seeing people progress through the proficiency levels, gain awards and build confidence as they go. Many people will come to me saying they can’t trampoline, and in just a few weeks they will have already progressed through at least one award. It is so rewarding to see the smiles on people’s faces when they pass a new award.

I enjoy coaching all ages and abilities but I think my favourite is the younger ones in Funfit. It is so rewarding for both myself as a coach, the children, and the parents to see them progress through awards and achieve higher levels of ability and grow in confidence as they go.

Springfit is a great club offering a range of classes for all ages and abilities, both in trampolining and gymnastics. The coaches are all incredibly friendly and passionate about what they do, with many like myself deciding to become a coach with the club after having originally been a member for many years. There’s a great friendly vibe within the club, and a huge sense of team work and encouragement at competitions and in day-to-day training.
