Fundraising

Springfit’s own Fundraising team was launched in the autumn of 2009, and has seen several successful events already bring new equipment and resources to members and their classes.  They continue to dedicate their time and energy into raising money for new and much needed pieces of equipment at Springfit gymnastics and trampoline club.

We have been generating lists of equipment urgently needed, which extend from kindergym soft play equipment through to new floor mats, asymmetric and high bars for girls, boys and adults to use. All members of the club would benefit from these new pieces of equipment.
A full list of equipment that we hope to buy can be found here, at our equipment targets page.

Unfortunately these items, even soft foam slopes, are not cheap, but Adam Reynolds (club owner) will be supporting this in every way. The fund raising team that is mainly made up of coaches, a few elite gymnasts and parents, will put their own time into this cause and 100% of the money raised will go to buying new equipment.

Your support in helping us generate as much money as we possibly can will be greatly appreciated, and if you have any other ideas to assist us in raising money we would love to hear them.

The fundraising we are planning to do will have to continue over a long period of time but your ongoing support would be much appreciated. Check back here to check on our progress!

Every year we take part in the Tesco Vouchers for schools and clubs scheme, and this year is no different, with a collection target of 7,000 vouchers being set for March-June 2010.  Please help us out by handing in any vouchers you can scrounge and charm out of cashiers!

We raised a fantastic £788 from our October 2009 raffle.  Thanks to all that helped by buying raffle tickets, and congrats to the prize winners.

December 2009 saw a fantastic turn-out to our sponsored 24 hour bounce.  Over 100 people turned up on 29th/30th Dec to help keep a trampoline continuously bouncing all day and all night.  Some changed costumes every hour, dressed up or did face painting to keep the entertainment level sky high all throughout the endurance extravaganza. Others set club records for moves and skills, and one coach achieved 4,000 consecutive back bounces, over a 70 minute period at 4am!
A dozen people managed to stay for the whole 24 hours, including a core team of motivated coaches and many enthusiastic younger club members. We very much appreciate all those who helped out in achieving this very difficult feat.  There was a lot of positive feedback from beaming club members and families, who came to show their support and help the teams out.

Sponsorship money is still coming in, but we are predicted to raise approximately £350 for new equipment. Many thanks to all those who bounced, and all those who sponsored.

Future ideas for include a sponsored balloon race with a very good prize for the winner, gymnastic treasure maps and a mufti week at the gym wearing anything you like (within reason) for £1 and playing fun games winning prizes throughout the classes and further raffles. We will also be looking to set up club calendars generated from pictures of your gymnasts in their classes ready for Christmas 2010.

So, from your fund raising team, thanks for reading this and supporting us to improve the equipment and coaching we can provide at Springfit Gymnastic and trampoline club.
